The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers free, confidential services, provided through Work-Life Matters, designed to help County employees prevent or resolve personal, family, and workplace problems affecting that employee's well-being and job performance. Use of EAP is voluntary. Typical problems include: job stress, communication problems with a co-worker or supervisor, depression, substance abuse, and marital/family problems. EAP provides problem assessment, education, short-term counseling, and/or referral to community resources. EAP offers support, educational assistance, and intervention to supervisors and employees on individual or departmental matters and wellness promotion activities to improve the County's work climate.

Drug Free Workplace
Madison County Fiscal Court has a vital interest in maintaining safe, healthy, and efficient working conditions for its employees. Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol on the job may pose serious safety and health risks to the user and all those who work with the user. The possession, use or sale of an illegal drug or alcohol in the workplace may also pose unacceptable risks for safety, health, and efficient operations.
The County gives further notice that:
Violations of this prohibition will result in administrative sanctions, ranging in severity from formal counseling to termination of employment, immediately or within 30 days, whether or not the violation results in conviction under state for federal criminal drug statutes for misconduct in the workplace. Satisfactory participation in a County-approved drug abuse assistance or rehabilitation program may be required as a condition of continued employment by the Madison County Fiscal Court of all employees who violate this prohibition and are not terminated from employment. See Addendum 1 for full policy.

Parts and Services Manager (Click here to apply)
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Road Department Supervisor and Road Administrator. Position requires light and moderate physical labor. Position requires organization of service work and parts purchase and inventory. Responsible for the service activities and support to all garage employees and provide necessary documentation for administrative staff and management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Through knowledge and experience in the automotive repair industry, employee management and prior supervisory skills. Be capable of maintaining records and purchasing parts in the most efficient methods for the benefit of the counties. Have general knowledge of human resources and employee relations.
Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and extensive management and supervisory experience.

Madison County Government Internship Opportunity (Summer and Fall 2018 Sessions)-(Click here to apply)
The Madison County Fiscal Court (MCFC) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of county government. The MCFC is seeking talented undergraduate and graduate students for the Summer 2018 and Fall 2018 internship sessions. The schedule is flexible including the start and end date as well as the days of the week. It is required the student make a commitment of at least 12 hours a week. Summer sessions runs from May 21-August 10, 2018 and the Fall semester runs from August 20-December 15, 2018. The internship is non-paid but may count toward college credit, pending school approval.
