Work Hours: This position works 8:00am to 4:30pm 40 hours per week.
Starting Salary: $13 an hour

Provide General Labor to assist in the Department of Environmental & Animal Care fuctions and to drive CDL Class vehicles to complete daily task.  Must be able to to lifit 60lbs and drive CDL Class vehicles.  Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and experience, CDL Experience.  Class B CDL License required.  Must have a good driving record and up to date medical card.

Spring and Summer Internships-Apply Here

The Madison County Fiscal Court (MCFC) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of county government.  The MCFC is seeking talented undergraduate and graduate students for the Spring 2019 and Summer 2019 internship sessions. The schedule is flexible including the start and end date as well as the days of the week. It is required the student make a commitment of at least 12 hours a week. Spring Session runs from February to May and the Summer sessions runs from June to August.  The internship is non-paid but may count toward college credit, pending school approval.

Battlefield Golf Course Seasonal Cart Attendant (Click here to apply)

Work is performed under the general supervision of the Head Golf Course Superintendent. The role of this position is to assist the Head Golf Course Superintendent with execution of daily golf course operations. This postion starts at $7.50/hour. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Fueling and cleaning golf cart fleet
  • Golf cart staging as directed by the tee sheet for the day
  • Filling and distributing water coolers in the morning
  • Removing water coolers at night
  • Help to supply pencils and scorecards to players and communicate any rules of the day
  • Assists with tournaments as directed by management

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and experience in or around the game of golf. Special Requirements: Possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
